Materials
Full-grain leather on the upper, the top layer of the hide, uncorrected and uncoated, so it takes on patina instead of cracking. Cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge. Soft leather, not suede. Solid brass studs.
Construction
Super lightweight construction, so the boot weighs far less than it looks like it should. Rubber outsole. Not Goodyear-welted; that is Florence, and only Florence.
Heel and silhouette
Three inch block heel. Mid-calf shaft carrying three studded straps, and a zip that runs from the toe up the front of the shaft, so it is easy on.
Care and repair
Wipe with a damp cloth and condition the leather now and then. Polish the studs with a soft dry cloth. The collection is built to be repaired: when a heel tip or a lift wears, any quality cobbler can replace it.
The hardware

Three straps, and the studs face out.

Three straps across the shaft, each one set with solid brass studs. The studs go through the outside face of the strap, so what sits against the calf is the smooth back of the leather. It is the loudest thing in the collection, and it is still only leather and brass.

The lining

The signature is on the inside.

A cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge. It is the one note of color in an otherwise quiet object, and it is the same red inside every Fabbruccio boot. Soft leather rather than suede, so it breathes and softens with wear.

Built light

Light in the hand, and repairable.

Super lightweight construction. There is a lot of leather and solid brass in this boot and it still weighs very little when you pick it up. When the heel tip finally wears down, a cobbler replaces it rather than the boot. The whole collection is made to be repaired.
