The Florence is Goodyear-welted, the construction used in the finest dress shoes for over a century. The sole is stitched to the upper through a leather welt rather than glued. It is slower to build, and it is the reason the boot lasts. That is where the money goes: into the make, not a name stamped on the side.
The signature is on the inside.
A cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge. It is the one note of color in an otherwise quiet object, and it is the same red inside every Fabbruccio. Soft leather rather than suede, so it breathes and softens with wear.
