Materials
Full-grain leather on the upper, the top layer of the hide, uncorrected and uncoated, so it takes on patina instead of cracking. Cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge. Soft leather, not suede.
Construction
Super lightweight construction, which is what keeps a boot this size from weighing what it looks like it weighs. Rubber outsole. Not Goodyear-welted; that is Florence, and only Florence.
Heel and silhouette
Four inch heel on a one inch platform, so the foot sits at a three inch rise. Mid-calf shaft with a side zip, flush studs set in a vertical line, and the house mark on the strap.
Care and repair
Wipe with a damp cloth and condition the leather now and then. The collection is built to be repaired: when a heel tip or a lift wears, any quality cobbler can replace it.
The platform

Four inches of heel. Three inches of rise.

The heel measures four inches. The platform under the toe measures one. What your foot actually sits at is the difference, a three inch rise, which is the entire reason the platform is there. The arithmetic is the design.

The lining

The signature is on the inside.

A cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge. It is the one note of color in an otherwise quiet object, and it is the same red inside every Fabbruccio boot. Soft leather rather than suede, so it breathes and softens with wear.

Built light

Light for the size of it.

Super lightweight construction. This is a tall boot on a platform and it still weighs very little in the hand. When the heel tip finally wears down, a cobbler replaces it rather than the boot. The whole collection is made to be repaired.
